Search Engine Optimization

August 24th, 2010

The constantly changing nature of the net means that marketing has to take a multi-pronged approach to have any effectiveness online. You have to use methods of marketing that have been shown to work, and you have to spread your eggs out among many baskets so that when one thing crashes down you’re still ahead of the game. Here are three of the most commonly used and effective methods for marketing online.

SEO Optimization Let us look at the Search Engine optimization, wherein the first page optimization has a strong usage with higher percentage of clicks. I t has become highly competitive to have the first page. Determining key words have become scarce as they were all almost exhaustive.

If you expect your Web page to be competitive, you must design it using a keyword or preferable, a key phrase. This key word or phrase must be included in the page title, in its META tag, in any descriptions of the page, in the first heading using H1 HTML language, everywhere possible within the body of the page and somewhere in the last 25 words on the page. While following these guidelines won?t guarantee your webpage is listed first, these basic SEO on-page options are a must as a beginning point for a successful Internet advertising strategy.

Some keywords are just too darn crowded to make effective use of in and of themselves. ‘Golf clubs’ will give you more hits than you know what to do with. In those cases, it’s best to narrow your focus down a bit, and attach additional conditions to your chosen keywords to make your site sound more specific. Instead of ‘golf clubs,’ try ‘Chicago gold clubs,’ for instance.

Link Exchanges, When you finish completing the on-page optimizations on your Web pages, the next thing to tackle are the off-page optimization options. Link exchanges are the way to go to ensure superb off-page SEO procedures. For example, Google uses an algorithm to establish a web page?s status. This status is determined by how many other sites link to it. Remember, the quality of the link is a key consideration. Web pages are graded from 1 to 10, with the higher the rank of a site linking to yours, the better. A site must be rated a PR7 or above to be thought of as an authority site. If there is a back link from that site to yours, then Google?s spider will send it back to your page regularly.

It is easier to get a back link requesting your webmaster to provide you with one. Once they say yes you can even buy a link on a monthly fee basis. If you purchase this for at least a couple of months, it will yield long time paybacks.

A single PR8 back link is worth more than a hundred back links from a lower ranked site. To be blunt, having too many back links from low rated sites can even be damaging to your site. Why? This is true because a back link counts just like a vote for your site. Google isn?t likely to reward a site with a high PR if they are associated with too many lower ranked sites. Another thing to be careful of is accidentally back linking your site to one that has been blacklisted by Google. If you do this, your site is also likely to be blacklisted and may never recuperate from this.

Above all else, avoid abusive sites such as link farms. These will actually damage your site instead of helping it. If you need the traffic that badly, just purchase a link in a reputable link directory. These will give you a lot of notice and help your rating look good to Google without any exploitation.

And third, there’s always blogs. As the new technological equivalent of word of mouth, they hold a vast amount of power over how well-publicized anything is. People like knowing what other people think about things they’re considering purchasing.

Blogs need to be updated periodically, as the updation alone plays the major role in getting prime slot in a search result. Bloggers submit articles to Blog . Hubs make money by their updation and the blogger gets a back link.

As time goes by and many other bloggers and Webmasters go to article hubs for new information, these stories can be sent all over the Internet to many sites. When this happens, it creates even more back links to your blog or site, and gets you a large amount of pre-qualified free traffic.

In Summary, Though there are other marketing tools , as a fisrt step, it is better to go for Search Engine Optimization

Remember that the key is to getting quality links, getting on quality blogs, and using effective but trustworthy keyword strategies. Put it all together and you’ve got a marketing strategy that really works, with very little cost.

Suggestions To Dominate Your Competition In Your SEO Efforts

August 18th, 2010

The internet is substituting the old-school ads that companies used to use like yellow pages, billboards & even television in some areas. The internet is by far the best place for savvy PPC Management experts to overwhelm other companies in their local area. Good news – if you haven’t started advertising on the internet yet, you haven’t totally missed out. Here are strong suggestions to get you new business from the internet:

1. Optimize your site right away. Start to optimize your website. You are invisible to people looking specifically for you every day. There are literally thousands of searches every month by someone looking for a businesses like yours in the Bay Area (or whatever your city is). Bottom line, you need to be found on Google, Yahoo & Bing, ideally the first page. That is what optimization does for you. If done well, optimization will get you on the first page for the most-searched phrases internet users are typing in.

2. Get Someone Who Knows What They Are Doing – Yes, there are many tagging changes you can do to help yourself, but there is only so much improving of your meta tags, improving your headings, bolding your text and other simple optimization techniques you can do yourself. Why do people hire you? Because you’re an expert. Whatever money you spend on a competent SEO Consultant is money well spent. But do your homework. Don’t just hire your brother-in-law who designs websites. Make sure they are good at optimizing other businesses like your web sites, as some business areas are incredibly competitive and hard to get on page one.

3. Think Quality When Creating Your Website – Think like a critic. Don’t go on the cheap for this one. You are competing with others who know the value of first impressions. Think of your site as a something to bring you business. The true purpose of your PPC Management is to compel them to email or call you. And don’t just focus on the people who are looking for you on Yahoo and don’t know who you are yet, but make sure you keep the people who are handed to you!

A friend of yours refers your business, where are they going to go to look YOU up? Correct! Your website! So when they type your name into Yahoo, make sure what they see is something you are proud of. The worst thing you want is for a referral to be so unimpressed with your image that once they find you, they go back to Yahoo buy from someone else.

Check up on them too. Go To Google and search for SEO Los Angeles. If their own site shows up for those highly-searched terms, then they probably have the knowledge to get your web site ranked high too.

Take your business to the next level. If you want to succeed at Adwords Management, use these tips and take advantage of the power of the web. Good luck, share your ideas with us! I will be happy to help!

What’s The Deal With With PPC-Coach? Does It Work Or Not? Information

August 13th, 2010

Pay Per Click marketing (PPC) is an extremely lucrative market to get into and there are many PPC marketers out there that are making millions of dollars a year with it. However, learning PPC can be quite a daunting task, especially for newbies. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can lose a boatload of money in a short period of time. This is where PPC Coach comes in. PPC-Coach is a monthly subscription program that teaches you all the ins-and-outs of PPC. From keyword research, to landing page creation, you’ll be guided step by step by PPC coach and his many friends.

PPC Coach is a monthly subscription service. For $50 a month you’ll get access to the PPC-Coach membership site and one new method each month. When you first signup, you’ll get access to the Month 1 method. The method described will also include the exact merchant offer to use, although you’ll want to choose your own to avoid saturation.

As of now, there are almost 1500 members, and more than 50k posts in the PPC Coach forums. There are lots of informative posts being posted every day on the forum. PPC coach himself is always online answering questions, along with Coach v2.0. You’ll also find lots of great posts from members like SteveL and Harry1970 who are regulars and are quite the PPC marketers themselves. I think the forums are probably the most valuable part of the PPC Coach membership.

Want to see if your landing page is good enough? Just ask and someone will offer their constructive critique. Cant figure out why you’ve been Google slapped? Well, you’re not the only one and you can find helpful advice on how to avoid this dreaded occurrence.

Another great learning tool that PPC Coach offers, are the videos. They cover a wide variety of topics and PPC Coach narrates each one. Whats great about the videos is that PPC Coach uses a variety of real life examples to explain the concepts hes teaching. If you’re someone that learns better by seeing, you’ll definitely want to make sure to watch each of them. The videos cover everything from doing keyword research and creating landing pages, to specific tutorials on various tools.

The tools are another reason why PPC Coach is so valuable. Landing Site Generator is a php script that allows you to create landing pages for your campaigns almost automatically. All you need to do is tweak a few variables in the script and your landing page is ready to go. This is a really good way to get started with the Month 1 method.

PPC Coach tracker is an invaluable tool for tracking all your campaigns. You’ll need to install this script on your own site. Among other things, it allows you to figure out which keywords are converting for you so you can squeeze the most money out of your campaigns. There are other tools as well, but the last one I wanted to highlight is the Content Network Generator tool. This tool is great as it allows you to spit out keywords and adgroups and import them into AdWords super quickly. It really will save you a ton of time.

Laser Focus On Your Target Audience With PPC Advertising Guides

August 13th, 2010

fline advertising is growing by 7% per year, while internet advertising is speeding ahead with a 32% annual growth rate. Traditional media is losing its market share as companies increasingly move their ads to the online media, specifically in the paid search arena. Some time ago, Ford Motor Company moved 10% of its budget away from radio/TV to web advertising.

Advertising in online media has some definite advantages over offline media in terms of cost, reach, interactivity, targeting the right markets and measuring responses. This is why internet advertising is now becoming hot property for marketers! Of all advertising (telemarketing, magazine advertising, newspapers, radio, TV, banner ads, email marketing, etc.), PPC advertising provides the most qualified leads and is proven to have the highest sales conversion rate. This is because, unlike other forms of advertising, your ad is only displayed when your prospective customer is searching for your products or services. This is why nearly 40% of all online advertisements are now pay per click campaigns.

The trend of advertisements within the online medium is fast changing too. While search engine optimisation is becoming vital for making your website emerge above competition, pay per click advertising is providing a very cost effective means to reach your target audience.

According to The Kelsey Group and ConStat, Inc, small-business PPC advertisers currently allocate on average 23% of their total advertising budget to PPC activities. Of these, 54% expect to increase their PPC spending the next year. Paid search has undoubtedly become the hottest means of online advertising.

What is a PPC Ad

Pay per click campaigns (PPC) are defined as the guaranteed placement of a small “ad” on the search results page for a specific keyword or keywords. Your PPC ads are displayed when a user searches for your services/products. This means PPC ads are targeting those customers who are actively seeking your product/services.

No matter what your budget is, you only need to pay for the customers who click your link. PPC campaigns are suitable for all types of businesses.

Major PPC campaigns

There are two major pay per click campaigns: Google AdWords, owned by Google and Yahoo! Search Marketing, which is Yahoo’s PPC service.

Pay per click advertising is growing at a very fast pace. According to Forbes, by 2008, companies will spend $8 billion a year on PPC advertising. As a result, PPC is going to be more expensive and competitive in the future, which means campaigns will have to be even more professionally managed to ensure the best return on investment.

Advantages of PPC advertising over other ad media

Speed: PPC reaches its target market at a fast rate as compared to other online and offline advertisements. You can have an ad up and running in less than an hour.

Sales Lead: Pay Per Click advertising generates more qualified leads as compared to other advertising media, as it targets customers who are actively seeking out your products/services.

Track the lead conversion: You can track the lead conversion of a PPC campaign very easily.

Cost: PPC is a cost effective means of reaching global customers, much cheaper than traditional media, which is usually limited to the immediate audience within its reach (be it TV, radio or print). Only web marketing can give you global reach at such a cost effective rate.

Discover The Ways Arizona Search Engine Marketing Can Help You Learn To Prosper

August 12th, 2010

The first thing to understand about Arizona search engine marketing, is it works the same as search engine marketing, no matter where in the world you may be. If you have a local Arizona business, you will use the same principles to promote it, as you would if you had a product you were shipping out to any place on earth.

There are two sides to search engine (SE) marketing. PPC (pay per click) advertising, is the paid side, but the largest part is the free; or, organic side. At first you might think that PPC advertising comes without risk, due to the fact that the only time you pay for it is when somebody clicks on the link, taking them to your web page.

The reality is that most of your visitors are not ever going to buy from you. You can lose your shirt in PPC marketing, before you get past the learning curve, into profitability. This article discusses the free side of SE marketing.

The entire idea of SE (search engine) marketing, is to optimize your website or other pages on the internet, so that SE’s will find you when people are searching for what you are selling. This process is known as SEO (search engine optimization). SEO starts with keyword research.

A keyword is another way of saying, search term. Whatever someone enters into the search box at a SE, is a keyword. Even if it is the only time that keyword has ever been used. Keyword research means looking up what keywords people are searching for, as well as how many times a month. It is extremely powerful information.

Google provides a tool that gives this data for free. Just enter, “keyword tool external” into Google and it should be the top listing. When you enter a keyword in that tool, you will not only find out how many times a month it is searched for, but, amazingly, you will get a list of up to 100 possibly related search terms. There is a lot of gold to be found there.

You are looking for keywords that have more than a few searches, but not a tremendous amount of competition. To gauge your potential competition, go to the regular Google search page and enter the keywords you are researching, and put them in “quote marks”, so that your results will only include pages that match the keyword exactly. At the top of the page in small font is the number of total pages. If it is 19,999 or less, it could be a fruitful keyword for you.

As you keep studying Arizona search engine marketing, you will learn the simple SEO techniques to take the keywords you found in your research and optimize web pages and articles for them. It won’t be long before you start getting first page search results on Google, absolutely free.

Pay Per Click V’s Organic Search Engine Optimisation – What You Need To Know And What Most Will Not Tell You

August 12th, 2010

I thought I would go with something that may seem quite controversial to a number of you, with this being the first entry for my new site . I am talking with business owners who are very frustrated with Pay per click advertising every day. Concerned at the cost, unsure of the result it delivers and having no idea as to what to do next with their online presence.

The answer in my opinion is easy but let me cover a few points first:

I have been doing a great deal of research into Pay per Click advertising over the course of the last few weeks and whether we should continue using it in a number of our businesses. The results from our Pay per Click advertising has been declining for some time however the cost to run our campaigns has almost doubled. Now I am not against pay per click as such rather focusing on what will deliver us the best return for our investment.

While researching Pay per Click we have been actively focusing on SEO, using our own online marketing techniques to drive and improve the positioning of our own websites. The results have been quite exciting in that we have see our sites improve their front page positions by over 3 spots. Now this may not seem much but when you review the impact this has on website activity and click throughs you will be surprised.

It is well known that a First position in the main search engines for your most searched keyword or keyword phrases will generally capture around 50% of the people searching.

* Position 1, approx 50% * Position 2, is less somewhere between 12% and 19%, * Position 3, between 11% and 18%, * Position 4, between 7% and 15% * Position 5-9, between 2% and 4% * Position 10, approx 3%

So let’s compare that with the clicks or traffic that Pay per Click advertisements attract:

* Sponsored ads at the top of the search page attract between 2% and 4% of Clicks * Sponsored ads on the right hand side of the search page attract between 1% and 2% of Clicks

So lets look at the numbers. A number one ranked website will attract over 25 times the amount of traffic or viewings or clicks that a Pay per Click advertisement will. So if you are spending $1000 a month on PPC and that generates 100 click throughs to your site, a website that ranks number 1 will get over 2500 clicks. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to work out where you should be investing your money – Organic Search Engine Optimisation!

If your business is spending significant amounts of money on Pay per Click online advertising and some of you are then it may be a good time to re-evaluate. Consider investing some of your funds into Optimising your website more effectively..

Maximize Your Earning Potential With Multi-Level Affiliate Marketing

August 10th, 2010

Working as an affiliate marketer is a popular choice to make a supplemental income nowadays, but many people do not consider the earning potential inherent in using multi-level affiliate marketing alongside a single-tier affiliate program. That is a point that was raised by Ewen Chia, a man often called the world’s premier Super Affiliate, at the 2007 World Internet Mega Summit in Singapore.

Marketing experts come in many different further specialized functions for providing many degrees and sub-focuses for marketing online. The worth of a full-service e-marketer is heavy, but comes with an equally heavy price tag. If you need to save a bit on cost, you can try hiring for a limited time, which with deft use can allow for great marketing at a price you can easily afford. Or if you’re more of a hands on kind of guy, there’s always the option of doing the research yourself into marketing techniques and figuring out how to interpret and implement them without outside aid. This option, of course, saves in money at the alternative cost of time instead.

Let’s start out with what affiliate marketing is: it’s selling someone else’s service or product for commission, by recommending the product or solution to people you know will use it (like friends or family, members of a group or forum you are a part of, or co-workers). This allows for effective targeted marketing, because affiliates know exactly who will want to use a particular product or service. There are hundreds of thousands of digital products available for would-be affiliate marketers, which can be found via popular search engines or specific databases that list affiliate marketing programs.

The main drawback to this program is that you get paid once, and once only, for a sale; with a multi-level affiliate program, you can be paid many, many times over for a sale-whenever someone you’ve recruited into the program makes a sale, you’re also paid! This can make it a much more lucrative stream of revenue than pay-per-click ads, self-promotion, or single-tier affiliate programs, because the possibilities for revenue are endless; the more people you recruit and the more people they recruit (and so on and so forth down the line) the more money you will bring in.

It takes the same amount of effort on your part (get one friend or family member to buy a product), but you can make a great deal more money-if your friend or family member becomes an affiliate marketer for the same program, you earn a commission for everything that they sell as well as what you sell!

A multi-level affiliate program allows you to get paid when other people do work-when the affiliates you recruit through the same amount of work you did selling in a single-tier affiliate program, you can make the equivalent of many single-tier sales without lifting another finger. And if you market a service with a monthly fee, that means that you receive a monthly residual income that can quickly add up; this is something that other forms of internet marketing simply can’t beat.

The amount of money you can make in a multi-level affiliate program is limited only by the number of people you can recruit, and in turn by the number of people they recruit, and so on and so forth. The possible stream of revenue is positively mind-boggling!
