Can Google Adwords Create More Business For You?

For the most part, our clients are one time users of our service, so we constantly have to find methods to get new people, with problems we can help with into our office.

I found out rather quickly that there are two arenas I need to excel in to market effectively – online and offline. My online efforts include things like website optimization, starting a blog, and doing other things to get my DUI website noticed by Google. It also included an adwords campaign.

Google adwords is the tool Google allows people to use to advertise on the search pages of their site (among other places). If you go to Google and search for Seattle DUI defense attorney you’ll see ads across the top and the right side of the page. You can pay to have your ad there. But I was skeptical because I’d read somewhere that a lot of people just skip over them.

Even though I wasn’t real confident adwords would provide any boost to my criminal defense practice, I thought I’d give it a shot. What I found when the ads were running wasn’t very surprising. A lot of people don’t click on the ads. A lot of people just glance right over them (or glance over mine). People do click, but not a lot.

One thing I didn’t totally take into account, however, was how easy it is to turn a profit with adwords. With adwords, you only pay every time someone clicks on your ad. In the end, I think whether or not adwords ads will work for your business depends on the type of business you are in.
