Is your website not showing up on the first page of Google search results? I am going to share with you the exact system I use to generate HUGE amounts of relevant traffic every day to my websites – and it will work for any kind of site you want to get massive amounts of traffic to (i.e. your website, an article you wrote, a squidoo lens, hubpage, etc). If you follow these 3 steps outlining EXACTLY how to get your website on google I guarantee you will see an increase in traffic to your site – but it will take some time and energy to get it done right.
Step 1: Write Genuine Content
In order to get free traffic coming to your site on a daily basis, you need to have a site that is intriguing that people are attracted to. The easiest way to do this is to write about a topic that you are passionate about or very knowledgeable on, in order to offer your readers the most interesting content. No one wants to visit a boring a website! The good news is, that as long as you keep your site unique and interesting you will automatically be drawing in traffic.
Step 2: Research Keywords
Now that you know you have a quality content website, its time for the 2nd step – which is making that valuable information available to as many people as you can. This is done primarily through good keyword research. Longer keywords are generally much more easier to rank for, so try and focus on key phrases that are at least 3-4 words long.
If you don’t already use a keyword tool, make sure to go to Google’s Free Keyword Tool now to start researching specific keyword phrases.
Keep in mind that a good keyword phrase is generally one that has over 300 – 500 monthly searches, and has less than 10,000 – 20,000 competing pages when searched in google. Make sure when researching the competition of a keyword that you put the phrase in quotes when searching google to make sure you get the actual amount of competition pages.
After you’ve chosen your keyword phrase, optimize a page on your website (usually an article) for that keyword. Use it for the title, introduction paragraph, somewhere in the middle, and at the end of your article. This way your webpage will be keyword optimized for the google spiders.
Even if you think keyword research is tedious or daunting, you must do it! This is the most sure-fire way that your website will be on the 1st page of google.
3rd Simple Step: Relevant Backlinks
Even with a good quality website with optimized long-tail keywords, you still might not see the high rankings you’re looking for in google. This is because websites that are linked to from lots of other websites are given a higher ranking than websites that have little or no incoming links. These are called backlinks, and are absolutely necessary if you want to rank high on google.
Here are some ways you can get quality backlinks: leave links on Yahoo Answers, forums, and blog comments you leave at related sites. Create small pages at Hubpages or Squidoo to link back to your main website. However, article marketing is by far the best way to achieve unlimited backlinks. This can either be done manually (which takes hours and hours of time) or by getting a quality automatic article submission service.
