Yahoo is partial to text consisting of keywords in bold or italics. Bold depicts that it is strong in meaning and the italics refers to emphasis. This is in reference to the tags found in the body or the posts in bogs.

How you prepare your image tags is important as well. These are ALT and they are the description for the search engine to know what the image is. Without overdoing it try and get the keyword into the image description as well.

Anchor Text: It is the clickable or the visible text within the hyperlink.

Don’t neglect URLS. The search engines don’t. They take into account the words contained in them as well so it is an ideal place to get your keywords into it.

How you layout the navigation of your pages is important. If it is easy to navigate and the link structure is done in such a way that it just takes a few clicks to get around then it is good. This helps the spiders in the search engines navigate as well.

Off page SEO is believed to be more important than on page. This may be something you will want to investigate further and arrive at your own conclusions. Always keep yourself aware as to what the search engines are looking for. After all they are your best advertisement for reaching the masses of people that are on the net everyday.
