How To Do On Page Optimization

On page optimization is basically a simple process. Simply put, you make sure you’re selecting a keyword that people are actually searching, use your free Google keyword tool to do it, once bolded and once italics and once with the keyword in a link. Put a keyword in a link on the page. Sometimes I’ll link to the page itself. If I am optimising a page for wine supplies, one of these wine supplies I may make it a link and link it through to its own page. I don’t know if that has a huge effect, but I do know that Google looks for links.

If we have a link with the keyword on it, we’re effectively calling Google and saying look over here, and Google is saying, it has the keyword, so this part must be about the keyword. But that’s like bolding and italics, it’s not make or break, but it is good practice. Pick one keyword, make sure your secondary keywords are on topic and related and a variation. Make sure your title tag is short and punchy. If you’re having trouble coming up with titles, go to Amazon. Use between three and five words. Your meta description should be between two and three sentences. Again a good place is Amazon, because Amazon will have a little description of the book. Be careful when you’re copying it out because you don’t want to infringe copyright, so change it slightly. The h1 tag should be slightly longer, between four and seven words is fine. The contents of the page should be between three and six hundred words.

Also be sure that you use the keyword early and often, usually once or twice in the first paragraph, sprinkle it throughout. These numbers apply to a page of about six hundred words. If it was less you would use the keyword three to four times and if it was more, say nine hundred word, you might use the keyword five or six times. Don’t spend hours trying to get your on page optimisation right. It can be easy to get caught up in the detail. Sometimes you can get better return for your time by quickly optimising a page and then going on to a second page.

It’s a good idea to have two pretty good optimised pages than one extremely well done. The reason for that is we don’t know what a perfectly optimised page is. Because nine times out of ten it’s better to throw out more pages, as long as you’re following good practice.

Many people today believe Yahoo is still one of the strongest search engines around which is true. However, since the onset of Bing, Yahoo has been declining with regards to market share in the industry. Today, it is clear that although while still ahead, if Bing continues to move at its current rate of growth, in only a few short years it may be possible that it outshines Yahoo in this area. One must first understand statistics in order to understand search engine usage. This is because usage is measured in percentage of use rather than in numbers of individuals using the various search engines. To this end, it is clear that Bing has already passed several other search engines in growth and is rapidly approaching Yahoo who at the moment still remains slightly ahead.

How Keywords Fit In SEO

ONe of the most important things to consider on how to do seo is your keyword research. That is really what drives the search engine. What does a Google screen look like? It’s got the search box and it’s got ‘Go’. Google does that because it has no idea what it is that you are looking for. When you go to other search engines like Yahoo, they’ll have advertising and news and then they’ll have the search box That’s all it has on the website. Why does Google do that? .

What Google does is different. They figure, we know you’re going to be looking for something, we don’t know what you’ll be looking for, so why should I clutter everything up when I don’t even know what you are looking for yet. Google was much smarter and now you just enter what you are looking for and it will return relevant information. It won’t give you the other things that you may not be looking for.

As far as selecting the keyword is concerned, when you type in a keyword, Google has its own index. The way search engines work, they have search engine spiders. They will crawl different websites to get a picture, a map of the way the website works. Consider a website with its home page and internal pages and various links to other websites. The spider jumps on the links and follows the links around to try and discover what is going on with the web. It will jump from these links from website to website and adds that into the Google catalogue or index.

This index lists every page on the internet. The spider has to be able to find it obviously. So that is another important thing to remember. Google won’t be able to find that page unless you’ve got some way for it to find that page. If I just create a page and load it up onto the internet and there are no links to it, it is a page all on its own, and I don’t put a link from my blog, or from other websites, Google won’t find that page. The way the search engine works it has its spider and it must follow the links to find the page.

Spiders will go through and create a catalogue of all the different pages on the internet and then it will apply its algorithm to that index to determine what it should serve up depending on what someone types in. Let’s say someone types in soccer drills because they want to improve their soccer drills and they want to see what comes up in their search. They type it in, Google will do an analysis and go through its entire index to serve up what it considers the most relevant pages for the keyword soccer drills.

To go back on how it will determine what is most important. How does it determine which page should be served up? We talked a little bit about how popular a website is based on how many people are linking to it. That is known as off page optimization. When we talk about off page and on page, if we look at our website, everything we do on our page, be it our meta descriptions, be it writing our title tags, our keywords, that is called on page optimization. One of the most frustrating experiences in the world is having to start over on your SEO strategy because you did not build the proper foundation. I think every SEO expert laughs when they hear this story because at one time in their life they had to do the same thing. Its a lot of damn work to start over. Six months into building my online business I had to go back to the drawing board because I did not address some very important questions.

When you start asking the right questions, you will begin to get better answers and better clarity about your online business. Here are a couple good questions; Who is my target customer? Why do they need my product? What solutions are they looking for? Most people trade time for money and if you can show them how to work less and have more time for personal pursuits they will befriend you like crazy. In the internet business we really sell solutions to problems most people do not like to talk about.

Until you get these questions asked and answered you should not begin your online business because you will find that many of the keywords will be found in the answers that you settle on. Really drilling down the answers to the questions can help you find niche keywords and ideas in less competitive categories and you may find better quality traffic.

Before I knew it I was back to square one with getting to know my audience and choosing the keywords that would attract qualified buyers to my website. Only then could I begin to put a good search engine optimization strategy into place.

People Do Not Want Products They Want Solutions

A friend of my always says don’t show me the labor pain, show me the baby, which always makes me laugh when I look at my online business. In my head I always repeat don’t show me the product show me the solutions; show me what’s in it for me because these are the same solutions my potential customers are in search of. Can Google Adwords Create More Business For You?

Google adwords is the tool Google allows people to use to advertise on the search pages of their site (among other places). A lot of people don’t click on the ads. A lot of people just glance right over them (or glance over mine). People do click, but not a lot.

One thing I didn’t totally take into account, however, was how easy it is to turn a profit with adwords. With adwords, you only pay every time someone clicks on your ad. Otherwise it just sits out there, waiting. You can set a monthly budget so you don’t lose your shirt, and all it takes is one click to help you make money.

In the end, I think whether or not adwords ads will work for your business depends on the type of business you are in. If it is a trade that gets a lot of internet searches, is not well known throughout the community (many people don’t know criminal attorneys, for example), and you can get eyeballs on your ads, they can be beneficial. Like a guy I know told me, “You don’t have to make all your money there, you just don’t want to lose money.

Fill It Up With Links

Links are very important, but only links that are relevant to your site. Meaning, the sites that you are linked to should have the same keywords or relevant content that would appeal to your target customer. Using automated software to find relevant links and send link invites is cool, but in the end you must look at the site and determine its relevance. Rule #1 then is; do not link your site to a site that is not relevant to your content or content that that your potential customer is searching for. Most people do not realize the intelligence of the search engine bots. Stop Flashing Your Customers

You will lose more than two third of your visitors with fancy sites that are loaded with flashy intros and tons of graphics. Most people are searching the internet for quality information or a solution to a problem. Your visitors are not looking to be impressed by your ability to create fancy animation. In fact most people do not have the plug-ins required to play flashy websites and serious researchers and buyers usually have the images function turned off so the sites load faster. Search engines are really finicky about images so use them sparingly. So, the final rule is keep it simple stupid, The KISS principle is very relevant when is comes to search engine optimization.

If you adhere to these rules you will save yourself a lot of time and money. Focus on quality links, do not overuse keywords, limit the number of products or services and keep the design of your site spider friendly. Violate one of these four rules and all of your efforts will be in vain.

If Hurt in BC By A Driver, Get Legal Advice Before Starting a Lawsuit

Everyday people get hurt in BC due to the negligence of someone else. The recourse for the hurt people is to sue.

In order to sue another person, whether an individual, corporation, or partnership, you must file a Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim with the Courts. The Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim are called pleadings.

Before I explain in more detail the lawsuit procedure, it’s a good idea to see about getting legal advice before starting. Why? Because if you launch a frivolous lawsuit in British Columbia in BC Supreme Court, you may have to pay some costs, which can be very expensive.

If you get a free consultation with a lawyer so you can get some legal advice, you should be under no obligation to hire the lawyer. There’s no guarantee the lawyer will take on your case either.

If you decide to start a claim in BC, whether on your own or with legal advice and representation, you have the option to file your case in either Small Claims Court or The Supreme Court of British Columbia. The way you decide which court to file your lawsuit is based how much damages you’re seeking.

Any claim up to $25K belongs in small claims court; otherwise take your lawsuit to BC Supreme Court.

Either you take your paperwork to the court registry or your lawyer will get it filed. It requires a Court stamp indicating it’s been registered. Then you must serve your filed lawsuit documents on the parties you’re suing.

Serving is pretty basic – you just hand the court-filed paperwork in-person to the individuals you’re suing.

Serving an individual is a matter of handing them a copy of your court-filed lawsuit documents.

If a defendant in your case is a partnership or corporation, you can send a filed copy by registered mail. This counts as service.

When you hand off your documents in person, be sure to swear an Affidavit that you did so, and when you did so.

Just so you know, in Small Claims court, the people you sue are called Respondents. It means the same as defendants – a more common term, which is still used in BC Supreme Court.

The Respondents or Defendants must write up a response. In Supreme Court a response is called a Statement of Defence; in Small Claims it’s called a Reply.

Once the Statement of Defence is filed, a personal injury action is underway. How it from this point on depends on the BC court it was filed.

As you can see, advancing a personal injury lawsuit requires some legal experience; however, there is plenty of legal information available to do your own lawsuit. That said, most people who get involved as a party in a personal injury lawsuit get legal advice and representation. Many personal injury lawyers offer a free consultation and will offer legal advice and representation and in return will get a percentage of the amount of compensation received.

Some lawyers won’t take a Small Claims case on; others will. Either way the personal injury standard these days is that the lawyer’s legal fees are a portion of the amount of compensation the lawyer obtains.
